So, what does every woman want and every man need to know?

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 27, 2005  --  Author Javon64 appeared on Global Talk Radio's June 27th edition of its internet talk radio show, "A Story to Tell", to discuss his errotic poetry in "What Every Woman Wants and Every Man Needs To Know".

Much of Javon’s inspiration for the book was drawn from his own life experiences. For years the author lived on the edge of a crazy, dangerous life style, unable to commit himself to just one woman. Though Javon has found the right woman to spend the rest of his life with, he wants to share his past experience with others. He hopes to prevent men and women alike from following in his dark and dangerous footsteps.

“People can relate to my work because I feel there are many people who have walked the same path as I have. Many women either don’t know what they want or are too afraid to admit it to themselves and their partner. I try to help these women by using what women have shown me and told me,” Javon has said. “As far as men go I want to let them know they need to listen to their woman and know she does not just want the flowers and chocolates. There is so much more to a relationship.”

Trimaxx Publishers plans to release his book on Valentine's Day 2006.

Can keeping a journal improve your life?

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 27, 2005  --  Maggie Sova, author of "Spirit of the Eagle", appeared on Global Talk Radio's "A Story to Tell" to discuss her new book and how keeping a personal journal can lift you to greater heights.

Ms. Sova is an enthusiastic, free-spirited self-motivator who is goal-oriented and loves challenges. Maggie and Nir were married in Tel Aviv and hope one day to make Israel their home. She and her husband own a jewelry business in Dallas. They both love international travel and have visited Turkey, Greece, Prague, Thailand, Mexico, and the Carribean, as well as taking yearly trips to Israel. The author also works with numerous women’s groups and charitable organizations.

In her book, "Spirit of the Eagle", Maggie Sova takes us into her intensely private world and using the majestic eagle as an analogy, demonstrates how to achieve inner peace while making dreams become reality. She explains that keeping a daily journal will assist in eliminating many worries caused by everyday stress, and offers the tools needed to plan for the future. Deeply spiritual, Maggie refers to quotations from the Old Testament in order to support and enhance the book’s secrets. This encourages the reader to envision their heart’s dreams and to eliminate their fears, allowing God to eventually revise their own paths in life.

The use of art in advertising discussed with Mary Ogle of evisionarts.com on
Global Talk Radio's internet talk radio show, "Business 101"

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 27, 2005  --  Mary Ogle of evisionarts.com visited with Global Talk Radio's "Business 101" to discuss the use of art in advertising. From cups to t-shirts, art is such a sure way to keep your company's name in front of everyone's eye, and with the advance of digital technology, print-on-demand brings cost-effectiveness to the small business owner.

The artists of evisionArts.com use Print on Demand technology to remake their designs into wearable, functional art. “With Print on Demand, there is no guessing about how many of each design you will need,” Ogle explains, “the item is not printed until an order is placed.” “Since we don’t have to worry about being left with a lot of unsold items,” Ogle continues, “we are able to cater to niche markets - like pug lovers and classical music enthusiasts - topics we ourselves are interested in.”

The power of multimedia marketing discussed with David DeCantillon of Integrated Media Solutions
on Global Talk Radio's internet talk radio show "Business 101"

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 27, 2005  --  David DeCantillon, president of Integrated Media Solutions (IMS), appeared on Global Talk Radio's June 27th edition of "Business 101" to discuss the power of multimedia marketing in today's business.

David DeCantillon has taken his frivolous desktop publishing skills of over twelve years (when the Internet and multimedia was only futuristic), and developed those skills to form an interactive multimedia company to help pave the way for more "in touch" marketing techniques for companies.

He believes that today's consumers are more sophisticated than ever before. They demand new innovations and advances in technology to make their lives easier. His philosophy is that it is then up to business leaders to deliver and surpass those expectations when fulfilling their customers' needs.

IMS's multimedia presentations do just that - they create a long-lasting impression with your clients. Whether selling your boats or books, they can make your business come "alive" and 3-dimensional.

"Oliver's Castle" is actually a combination of four shorter stories.  Each story is written in a simple way so younger readers can easily read to themselves... and for those pre-reading children, "Oliver's Castle" makes for a delightful shared moment between parent and child.

Ray Arjomand is a US citizen and has two Bachelor Degrees.  In his late 20s he was 20 pounds overweight and a junk food addict, frequenting fast food restaurants.  He was unaware of the secret animal cruelty sustaining the restaurants.  His intent in writing this fiction is to vividly expose the horrors of cut-throat price competition when the traded commodity is alive.

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 20, 2005  --  Elfreda Pretorius, author of "Rules of the Game", visits with Global Talk Radio's June 20th edition of its internet talk radio program, "A Story to Tell", to discuss how we can overcome struggle in our lives and start living again.

Elfreda asks, "Are you tired of struggling through life but hope tomorrow will be better?" Well, as she puts it, tomorrow will not be any different from today, unless you learn and apply the Rules of the Game. This beautiful novel teaches us the principles and practical steps we need to assume control of our lives and begin to soar. It is exceptional to come across people who know how to find joy in every day. It is unusual to see people who do not bear grudges, people who choose their responses and reactions and people who are confidently moving towards their dreams and goals. This book is not for them. It is for the rest of us who live in various stages of conscious or unconscious victim hood.

Author Stephen Kogon appears on Global Talk Radio's "A Story to Tell".

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 13, 2005  --  Stephen Kogon was born and raised in Maryland, growing up primarily in the city of Columbia, where he first began to exercise his imagination by spending many hours alone in his room creating new worlds and characters. While his parents worried he was far too young to be living the life of a recluse, little did they know that the seeds of a storyteller were instead being grown. Fortunately, their worries were eased when he would periodically leave the room to put on a dazzling show of some sort, enlisting his younger sister to play a role, as they entertained friends and family.

After high school, where the experience of Geometry and Algebra II nearly drained him of all creative initiative, he went off to college at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County (UMBC). It was there that he re-discovered his passion for entertaining as he wrote and acted in comedy sketches for the campus television show.  Upon graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue writing and acting. Within a year, he landed a featured role in an episode of Lifetime’s "Crimes and Confessions," playing a pasty-faced twerp.

After getting a tan, he decided to concentrate on screenwriting, whereupon one of his scripts, "The Fells Point Five," made the semifinals of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship Screenwriting Competition.  Over the next few years, he had several scripts optioned by prominent producers, including Roger Paradiso (producer of "The Thomas Crown Affair") and Jennie Lew Tugend (producer of the "Free Willy" movies).

Finally, he wrote his first novel, "Max Mooth - Cyber Sleuth and the Case of the Zombie Virus" and is hard at work on the follow up, "Max Mooth - Cyber Sleuth and the Case of the Screen Saver Virus."  You can hear his interview at www.GlobalTalkRadio.com/shows/astorytotell.

Author Jill Divine shares her powerful, positive message with Global Talk Radio's "A Story to Tell".

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 13, 2005  --  Jill Divine started her working life as a secretary, but found it very unfulfilling and decided to study nursing as a new career. Since then the inspiration has not stopped and she continues to write.  All her writing is inspirational and stems from her own inner belief in the power of love, hope, positive energy and angels. She has written another series of books which she plans to publish later next year, as well as several feature film scripts, and many articles on positive energy.  Her intention is to heal the world through laughter and the awareness of their own energy.   Anjoy - God’s Gifts, is her first step to positive peace worldwide, and will be enjoyed by all whether science fiction fans or not.  You can hear her interview at www.GlobalTalkRadio.com/shows/astorytotell.

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 6, 2005  --  Lily, who has recently appeared as a featured artist at Shades of Africa in Long Beach, California, and who hosted an open microphone poetry event at Mecca Hair Studio in Los Angeles, stopped by Global Talk Radio's "A Story to Tell" to do just that: tell her story.  She has a message for girls who might be facing some of life's challenges that she, too, faced as a teenager.  Lily said that her intention in writing this book was to let young women going through their own transition into womanhood know that they are not alone in their struggle.

The book “girl Child (The Transition - In Poetic Form)” covers the range of emotions and issues that most poeple have dealt with at some point - from overcoming negative self-images and heartache, to going beyond the limitations that society places upon us. It is truly about traveling through life’s peaks and valleys, making it through to the other side, and liking who you are when you get there. Lily’s poetry is sincere, vivid, witty and more importantly - valid. Thus far, “girl Child” has received an overwhelmingly positive response from readers of all walks of life.

The Lost Civilization of Atlantis - the topic of an interview with Marvin Southcott on Global Talk Radio's "A Story to Tell".

(Los Angeles, CA)  June 6, 2005  --  The story of Atlantis dates back to Plato's time.  Some believe the story to be totally fictional.  Others believe it was based on the violent distruction of an island in the Mediterranean Ocean by a catastrophic volcanic eruption.  And then there are those who believe Atlantis was a truly advanced civilization that existed thousands of years ago, but which has now become all but forgotten.

Author and retired university professor Marvin Southcott appeared on Global Talk Radio's June 6th edition of "A Story to Tell" to share his story.  "Persistence and Doubt" starts with the Atlantis quake, then connects the experience with the Atlantis second generation survivors who are living on the East Coast of North America. There, the protagonist, Davob, a dreamer and designer, builds the first birch bark canoe a man can carry to the water, a solstice center for determining the seasonal temperatures, and the first log cabin on the continent. He is opposed by Kado, who fights to destroy whatever Davob tries to create. It is the classic tale of evil against good and the question in the balance is which one will win.

Marvin Southcott is Professor Emeritus from WWU, Bellingham, WA, having worked as a practicing Industrial Designer and a teacher. He designed, among other things, the first solid state television tape recorder and the first portable video recorder on the market. He’s had articles published in professional publications and, in the area of teaching, Marvin’s talent for design led to his writing internal publication instructional materials for Maryland Institute. He has taught and lectured in several European countries as well as in Canada. In the field of writing, his short-short titled "Indian Steel" placed third in a Byline Magazine competition. He also has watercolor paintings on exhibit in his hometown and two of the series took first and second prizes in local competitions

Yvonne's story is very motivating.  After the brutal murder of her daughter, Gloria, she rose from the deepest depths of life's tragedies to find the best way to overcome her loss was by helping others.  Now, years later, her story has touched the lives of countless others.  She has worked tirelessly throughout the community and nation as an advocate for child safety.  And her story has now become an international topic of discussion.  In 2002, a young man in Ghana, West Africa was walking down the street wondering why he was faced  with so many struggles in life and  wondered if God really loved him. Anthony was forced to drop out of school to help his mother make ends meet. Many days he had gone without food wondering where his family's next meal  would come from. As he walked, he saw an article on the ground, picked it up and read it. As unbelievable as it may be, the article was about the inspirational story of Yvonne Pointer, and the struggles she faced everyday in dealing with the murder of her eldest daughter.  This has now led to founding of the Gloria Pointer Teen Movement Initiative in West Africa, where he is dedicating his life to assist African youth in obtaining an education and a healthy life style in memory of Gloria.

For all her efforts, she has received numerous honors, including the induction into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame and the 2001 Essence Award. In 1990, the Gloria Pointer Scholarship Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio to assist students in pursuing their educational goals. Recipients of the scholarship receive a one time contribution of $1,000.00 to use toward their college expenses.  The local scholarship has assisted over 12 students to attend college, including Fisk University, Spelman College. Virginia Union University, Central State University and Western Illinois University. Proceeds from Yvonne's self published book, Behind the Death Of a Child helps fund the scholarship. Please send tax deductible donations to Gloria Pointer Scholarship c/o Yvonne Pointer. P.O. Box 603456 Cleveland , Ohio 44103. Your donations will assist youth in obtaining an education and fulfill a dream.
